A vet trannypede on military service.

Ok, so I've had several people ask me privately across the interwebs what I think about the newest happenings with trans* in the military because:

1) I'm a 9 year vet and

2) I'm a fucking tranny

Well, here we go..

I'm not even going to touch on the ethics of joining the military just for a sex change to be paid for other than it's a fucked up motivating factor.

I'm not even going to touch on the other mental illnesses that disqualify you for military service. That would be a semantics argument, but are any mentally ill worthy of service? Myself included. And yes, transgenderism a mental illness very borderline multiple personality disorder in many cases. Regardless, the stress of transition would have caused me to kill someone during the duties of the job I was doing for the Coast Guard, which is one of the most stressful jobs in that service.

Anywho, back to the President's announcement.. For starters, there's more to the cost to the government of being a military member than just your healthcare. They pay for your food, housing, clothing, salary, training, and healthcare.. or pretty much everything.

Scenario:

  • Enlists for 4 years with intent to transition

  • Goes to boot camp for 3-6 months

  • Trains for military job placement for 6-12 months

  • Come out as trans and instantly nondeployable on mental health grounds for at least 6 months with mental health security clearance review

  • Breast augmentation is a 6 month nondeployable recovery

  • Facial feminization is a 3 month nondeployable recovery

  • Bottom surgery is up to a year nondeployable recovery

In this scenario, you will be deployable for less than a year on a 4 year military contract receiving all benefits to NOT do a job. It's not cost-effective for the government in terms of manpower, period, and doesn't really have much to do with healthcare nor discrimination.

Anyone who's a vet knows that deployability is #1. If you're not deployable then you're a waste and they'll process you for discharge. Which, in turn, wastes more time, money, and manpower.

Creating an exception for transgender individuals to get a free sex change and paycheck is not equality.
